THE GIVEDUEL GUIDE

Team fundraising starts with a clear plan

Team fundraising brings a group together around a cause and a shared way to follow participation. GiveDuel supports teams, invitation codes and a team leaderboard. A team is a way to organize participation; it is not a separate bank account or a payout destination.

Create a team and invite your group

After confirming your email, open My dashboard to create a team with a recognizable name. Share its invitation code privately with the people you want to join. Members use the code in their own dashboards. Each account can belong to one team at a time, so agree on the group before starting.

Choose what team fundraising success means

Agree on a cause, a timeframe and a metric before sharing invitations. The leaderboard can compare contribution balances, unique supporters, payment counts and referred supporters. Unique supporters helps distinguish a broader circle of participation from repeat payments by the same people. Do not treat a leaderboard balance as evidence of funds delivered to a beneficiary.

Understand team leaderboard attribution

Join the intended team before starting checkout. GiveDuel records the team, country and cause at checkout initiation. Changing teams later does not move earlier contributions to a different team. Verified payments update eligible totals, while refunds and disputes can reduce them.

Keep invitations useful and voluntary

Give your teammates a short explanation they can share: why the cause matters, when you will review progress and where people can read the payment terms. Do not promise employer matching, tax receipts or payouts through GiveDuel. Contributions are received by the platform’s Stripe account in BRL, and automatic transfers to organizations or organizers are not implemented.
