Start online fundraising with a specific story
Explain why you chose a cause and what you are asking your friends to do. You can publish a personal campaign with a title, story, BRL goal and deadline, then share its link. A campaign goal organizes participation; it does not create a right to receive its funds. GiveDuel receives contributions in its Stripe account and does not automatically pay campaign organizers.
Use peer to peer fundraising principles
Peer to peer fundraising spreads a message through personal networks. Ask friends to share a clear explanation rather than sending repeated requests. On GiveDuel, a public referral code lets an invitation be associated with confirmed participation. A referral counts only after a distinct invited person completes an eligible confirmed payment; self-referrals do not count.
Connect friends and choose a shared format
Use a friend’s public invitation code in My dashboard to request a connection; the recipient accepts it. Friend connections and referral credit serve different purposes. For a deadline-based activity, use a public challenge. For an ongoing group identity, create a team. Decide which format fits before sending links so friends know where to participate.
Talk openly about contributions
Invite people to give only an amount they are comfortable with, and welcome sharing without spending. Contributions are in BRL; a displayed USD estimate is not a guaranteed exchange rate. Review the recipient and intended use on Stripe before paying. Cause categories are not verified charity beneficiaries, no automatic charity payouts are implemented, and these pages do not establish US tax deductibility.
